My well water has a rotten egg smell, should I be concerned?

Not necessarily, however it is recommended that you have your well water tested for e. coli bacteria and nitrates.

Canada Geese inundate our pond, are there any recommendations on how I can encourage them to leave?

First off, you cannot hurt or kill these birds or their eggs, since they are protected by law.  The best way to answer this question is to list the birds likes and dislikes.

Canada Geese like;

  • quiet surroundings.
  • to wade into the water on a gradually sloping shore.
  • short or little vegetation around their pond.

Canada Geese do not like;

  • loud noises.
  • rocky shoreline.
  • brush or cattails along the shore.
