Because the regulation regarding specific vaccines needed for travel changes according to patterns of disease around the world, the Health Department no longer gives out this kind of information.  All questions are referred to Dr. Jeffrey Jones at St. Francis Hospital.  Dr. Jones may be contacted at 783-8009.  Information regarding travel alerts, vaccines required and State Department advisories may be obtained from the CDC.  Other helpful sites to visit if you are planning to travel are, the International Society of Travel Medicine, and the Cruise Ship Sanitation Program.
