Tuberculosis (TB) Mantoux tests

TB skin tests will be offered Mondays from 9 am to 3 pm, and must be read the following Wednesday between the hours of 9 am to 3 pm.  At that time, we will give documentation of the result.  The office is closed for all government holidays.  These cost $8.00, payable by cash, money order, or credit card.  Please be advised that if paying by credit card, your card will be charged an additional convenience fee which will vary based on the amount charged. 

Who Should be screened for TB?

  • Close contacts of persons known or suspected to have TB

  • Persons infected with HIV

  • Persons who have certain clinical conditions known to increase the risk of disease if infection occurs

  • Persons with a history of inadequately treated TB

  • Persons who inject illicit drugs

  • Residents & employees of high-risk congregate settings (i.e.: nursing homes, correctional facilities, mental institutions, other long-term care facilities, & homeless shelters)

  • Health care workers who serve high-risk clients

  • Persons born outside the US & Canada, including high-risk racial & ethnic groups

  • Locally defined high prevalence groups (substance abusers, migrant workers, the homeless)

TB tests are required for:

  • Employees of licensed child care facilities

  • College students

  • Foster parents/family

  • Correctional facility inmates & employees

  • Refugees

  • Health Care Workers
