Tuberculosis (TB) Mantoux tests

TB skin tests will be offered from 9 am to 3 pm, and must be read the following Wednesday between the hours of 9 am to 3 pm.  At that time, we will give documentation of the result.  The office is closed for all government holidays.  These cost $5.⁰⁰, payable by cash, money order, or master or visa card.   

Who Should be screened for TB?

• Close contacts of persons known or suspected to have TB

• Persons infected with HIV

• Persons who have certain clinical conditions known to increase the risk of disease if infection occurs

• Persons with a history of inadequately treated TB

• Persons who inject illicit drugs

• Residents & employees of high-risk congregate settings (i.e.: nursing homes, correctional facilities, mental institutions, other long-term care facilities, & homeless shelters)

• Health care workers who serve high-risk clients

• Persons born outside the US & Canada, including high-risk racial & ethnic groups

• Locally defined high prevalence groups (substance abusers, migrant workers, the homeless)

TB tests are required for:

• Employees of licensed child care facilities

• College students

• Foster parents/family

• Correctional facility inmates & employees

• Refugees

• Health Care Workers
