Influenza Vaccines We provide immunizations for children here at the Health Department. The current recommendation is that any child under the age of 9 who has never received a flu vaccine, receive two the first year, at least one month apart. The specific guidelines for who should receive the influenza vaccine change each year according to the availability of the vaccine.
